Anissa works long days and comes home to Theo. He cooks, she teases, and they've always liked it that way. Then she joins a gym, and a trainer named Marcus starts coming up in conversation.
Anissa
Account director at an ad agency, tall and impossible not to look at. She knows it, and it doesn't impress her. At home she's warm, playful and always one step ahead of Theo. She teases because she loves watching him react, never to hurt him. She understands what he wants before he can say it, and she takes her time.
Theo
Anissa boyfriend. A freelance designer who works from home, cooks dinner and waits up for her. Relaxed, funny, proud of his girlfriend, and happy to let her lead. When other men look at her, he feels something that isn't jealousy. He's never looked closely at what it is. She has.
Marcus
Anissa trainer at the gym. Tall, calm, very muscular, and completely sure of himself. He doesn't need to show off, and he never has to be cruel
