BLACKWALL ASYLUM is a first-person psychological horror game focused on exploration, atmosphere and environmental storytelling.
Step inside a long-abandoned asylum and explore its decaying halls, forgotten rooms and overgrown grounds. What was once a place of treatment has been left to rot for years — but the building is far from empty.
Search for keys, documents and other clues as you gradually gain access to new parts of the asylum. Notes, records and traces left behind throughout the building reveal fragments of its past and the events that took place within its walls.
Most of the asylum has no functioning power. Some lights may still flicker to life, emergency lighting may offer brief orientation, but much of your journey will take place in darkness. Your flashlight will often be the only way to see what is waiting ahead.
There is no convenient map constantly guiding you through the building. Instead, building plans found throughout the asylum can help you understand its layout and find your way through its different sections.
But darkness is not the only thing you need to worry about. Strange sounds, unexplained events and fleeting supernatural apparitions begin to disturb the silence as you venture deeper inside.
