That is not a metaphor.
In a world where everyone dreams of becoming a martial arts hero, you play as Dick, a young man who has been mocked for his unusual appearance since childhood.
His swordsmanship is nothing special. His talent seems ordinary at best. Even when he steps onto the training grounds, someone is waiting to watch him fall flat on his face.
But Dick has one dream he takes very seriously:
To become a true hero.
Not to be the strongest under heaven. Not to claim leadership of the martial arts world.
He simply hopes that, one day, when someone needs help, he will be strong enough to step forward.
Sweeping floors, chopping wood, hauling water, running errands...
Before you can become a hero, you are just another lowly disciple.
Complete your sect's chores, earn contribution points, and take on assignments to earn the right to learn martial arts and venture beyond the mountain.
From your first real encounter with a monstrous beast to martial arts tournaments and training visits to other sects, you will gradually leave your days as a nobody behind and find your place in the martial arts world.
But that world is far more dangerous than you imagine.
You cannot master everything.
Different martial arts offer different approaches to combat and ways to combine techniques. With limited time and resources, you will have to choose where to focus.
Devote yourself to a single discipline and push it to its limits, or combine complementary techniques to create a fighting style of your own.
Third-person 3D real-time combat puts the results of your training to the test.
As enemies grow stronger, those who train without a plan will soon discover that they know a little of everything—and cannot beat anything.
Martial arts can make you stronger.
But strength alone may not carry you to the end.
Along the way, you will meet women with their own sects, loyalties, personalities, and lives. They are not simply standing around waiting for the hero to win them over.
Train together, complete quests, face danger, and make difficult choices side by side to gradually build trust.
From strangers to friends.
From friends to companions who fight by your side.
As for whether those bonds become something more—well, that depends on whether Dick has what it takes.
As the demonic sect invades, rival sects are forced to put their old grudges aside.
Even the greatest masters can fall in battle. People who once could not stand each other may become the last allies they can trust to watch their backs.
The relationships you have built throughout your journey will come to matter when this crisis unfolds.
If you focus on nothing but training, you might indeed reach the Demon King all by yourself.
The question is—
Can you actually win?
Combine martial arts and techniques to create your own fighting style.
