Aurora Sol is a zero-gravity puzzle game that takes you from Earth to the edge of our Solar System. You are a Space Salvager, blamed for a Kessler syndrome event that devastated low Earth orbit, and now on a mission to clear your name. Clear the wreckage, ice, and exotic compounds that drift between worlds, and uncover the secrets of Sol along the way.
Every stage is set against real NASA imagery of our Solar System. Witness the churning storms of Jupiter, the icy plumes erupting from the cryovolcanoes of Enceladus, and the vast rings of Saturn, all against the backdrop of the Milky Way and an original soundtrack by Konstellation G.
The AURA Initiative
Salvagers collect what space leaves behind and feed it into massive Augmented Reconstruction Atomizer spheres, called AURA spheres, which use thermal plasma pyrolysis to break it down into resources humanity can use. It's thankless work, but someone has to do it.
Understand the Gravity of the Situation
In most puzzle games, gravity pulls every piece down. In Aurora Sol, nothing falls. Tap a direction and your block bundle drifts that way until you change course. Guide it into place and it stays there, suspended. But drift too far and touch the edge of the sphere, and your run is over.
Build It, Then Keep Building It
Line up four blocks of the same color in a square and an activation ignites, starting a countdown. While the clock runs, add more same-color squares to grow the cluster and buy more time. When the countdown ends, the whole salvage cluster clears at once. Play fast and land activations back-to-back to build chains, and mix colors for an even bigger payoff.
Choose Your Way In
Most puzzle games decide where your next piece comes from. In Aurora Sol, you do. Every bundle can enter the sphere from any of four corners, with two directions to choose from at each. Change corners before you enter with a board rotation (Switcheroo), and a well-played Switcheroo pays off with a score multiplier.
Salvage Battles
Challenge a friend to a local Salvage Battle. Two Salvagers share one sphere, each working their own corners, racing to clear the target number of blocks before their opponent.
Aurora Sol in VR
Fully immerse yourself in our Solar System with optional VR support. Seeing the rings of Saturn in VR hits differently. In VR, you don't just play as a Space Salvager. You become one.
