A Walk in the Park is a cozy management and simulation game where you play as a landscaper tasked with designing different parks and gardens to satisfy visitors and grow your reputation.
Explore new parks, watch visitors wander the paths, and design each space to best meet their needs. Every object you place has an area of influence that affects visitors as they pass nearby, and many objects come in several variations so you can vary the look of your park.
Every park you design adds to your overall reputation. Reach new reputation milestones to unlock additional maps and parks, each with its own layout and constraints.
As a landscaper, your role is to find the right layout to satisfy the visitors, wherever you're working.
Visitors continuously walk along the park's paths and randomly choose which direction to take when they reach a fork.
Watch how they move through the park and adapt your layout based on the paths they take.
Every object has an area of influence and affects different visitor needs, and many come in multiple variations to give your park its own look.
Place your objects in the right locations and optimize your layout to improve the visitors' experience.
But a good park isn't just about optimizing the areas around the paths. Park coverage also lets you keep track of how much of the park you have decorated.
Place objects wherever you want to bring the whole park to life. Find the right balance between efficiency and decoration.
When a visitor leaves the park, they rate their experience. These ratings are used to calculate the park's reputation, added up at the end of each day.
Grow a park's reputation high enough and you'll unlock its object catalog for use in your future parks, while your overall reputation keeps growing too, opening the door to new maps and gardens to design.
