Step behind the reinforced service counter of a high-security prison cafeteria. You aren't running a cozy neighborhood bistro—you are feeding dangerous, unpredictable inmates who have zero patience for mistakes. Keep the line moving, manage your kitchen, and make sure every utensil is accounted for before lockdown. In this dining hall, one wrong meal can cost you your life.
PREPARE, SERVE, AND SURVIVE
Work with the resources provided by the prison administration to prepare and serve daily meals. Portion precision and speed matter: inmates don’t just leave bad reviews—they slam trays into your face. When an aggressive felon hurls food across the counter, grab a rag, wipe your camera clean, and keep the cafeteria under control before tensions boil over.
UNPREDICTABLE INMATES & DANGEROUS CELLS
Every convict in the yard has their own temper, dietary demands, and bitter rivalries:
Study the Inmates: Pay attention to inmate behaviors and warnings. Some convicts will explode if their order isn't exact, while others can be kept docile with the right meal.
Isolation Cell Deliveries: Deliver food directly to punishment cells. Slide the tray through the narrow door hatch at your own risk—linger a second too long, and hands from the dark will drag you into the steel door.
THE END-OF-SHIFT CHECK: COUNT EVERY UTENSIL
The kitchen counter is a lethal environment:
At the end of every shift, you must conduct a mandatory inventory check: account for every single piece of cutlery and sharp tool.
If an item goes missing and you fail to hit the guard alarm, a violent incident will occur during lockdown—and the blame falls squarely on you.
Spot the missing tool in time, slam the alarm, and let the guards handle the threat.
BUDGETING, CORRUPTION & NIGHTTIME CHOICES
Surviving your shifts requires tough compromises:
The Budget Dilemma: Cut corners with cheap, low-grade ingredients to pocket extra funds, or spend your allowance on decent food to keep inmate hostility low.
Nighttime Letters: Receive secret notes slid beneath your door after hours. Inmates will offer bribes, black-market trades, or demands to tamper with a rival's food. Decide who to appease and who to cross before tomorrow's service begins.
