Dust... How many stories start with a stranger riding into town? How many of them end with him riding back out again? Our hero didn't come to Sweetwater for a reason — he came because the road ran out. Three days of hard riding, a horse that deserved better, a name he never got around to giving anybody. Then he made the mistake of noticing that the scale down at the depot settles twice.
The company owns the water, the bank, the rail spur, and the men who work all three. What it doesn't own yet, it forecloses on. But between the lady marshal who keeps a dented star in an unlocked drawer, the outlaw whose wanted poster the whole town throws darts around but never at, and the saloon owner who pours your first drink free because she already knows you'll be back — a man could forget he was only passing through. Then the county cracks wide open, Sweetwater splits two ways, and there's a third road nobody's supposed to find. Only you decide which side of the line you ride, whose plan you follow... and whose bed you share.
