Features
Chain spell runes into a Reckoning. Slot spell runes into your bar and order counts. One rune amplifies whatever sits on its left, another copies the rune on its right. Build a bar where they set each other off and the Reckoning runs the chain in sequence, so a bar you put together three fights ago pays off in ways you didn't plan.
Graft your minions into monstrosities. Strip what you want off one card and put it onto another. Set forge runes into a minion at the forge. Do it enough and the plain wolf you started with finishes the run as something you wouldn't recognize.
Fight on a board. Every minion has its own attack pattern. A unit that strikes diagonally wants a different square than one that hits straight ahead, and the enemy is choosing squares too.
Burn torches to act. There's no mana. Torches come from a second deck and they're all you get. When the light runs out, your turn is over. Temper a Red Flame into a Blue one at a campfire and every turn after that is longer. You never get more torches in a run, you get better ones.
Four classes. Paladin, Druid, Necromancer and Mage. Different minions, different gear, different opening moves.
Pick your route. Fights, elites, merchants, campfires, spell runes to learn and forge runes to set into your cards. A new spread of nodes every run.
