Read the fight. Aim the spell. Try not to hit your friend.
Emberveth is a local co-op spellcaster for one to four players on one screen. Every spell is aimed by hand, travels, and can miss: into the boss, into the floor, or into the ally who stepped where you were aiming.
\
What you do\
- Aim. Manual targeting for every cast. Spells land where you put them.
- Dodge. Move, blink, and jump over sweeping beams, shockwaves and rolling hazards.
- Combine. Eleven elements, from Fire and Frost to Shadow and Void, react with each other and with the arena. Stack them on one enemy, set opposites against each other, fight from ground you placed.
\
What is in it\
- Sixteen heroes, from Pyromancer and Cryomancer to Engineer, Beastmaster and Inquisitor, each with their own starting spell and three talent trees.
- Over two hundred spells in a shared pool you draft from as the story moves on.
- Thirty-one battlegrounds and fifteen bespoke bosses, each with its own tells, wind-ups and answers.
- A linear, narrated story across the winter frontier of Orenvalt.
- Four difficulties: Story, Normal, Hard and Nightmare. A harder tier changes what a boss does, not just how much health it has.
- One hundred achievements that record a fight read well, never time spent.
\
Couch first\
Built for gamepads and one shared screen. Solo play is supported. There is no online play.
\
A note for Mac players\
The macOS build is not signed by Apple. On first launch macOS will refuse to open it: right-click the game in Finder and choose Open, then confirm. You only need to do this once.
