This harvest might fight back.
Wheatstead is a pixel-art management game that brings farming, combat, and factory automation together. Choose where to settle, discover wild plants, research crops, and build your farm by hand. Then connect harvesting, transport, and processing into a working production line.
Not every crop will ripen as expected. Some become monsters. Take up arms, bring the resources you earn in battle back to your factory, and research plants and equipment to open up new ways to farm, fight, and produce.
From a field to a connected factory
Process your first batch of materials by hand, then move items along conveyors, carry liquids through pipes, and supply power to your machines. Refine your layout, divide your inputs, and work out what is holding up production. The output of one process becomes the start of the next.
Explore production chains from wheat and baking to tea, paper, cocoa, and chocolate. As you progress, automatic sowers and turrets can take on parts of the farm's planting and combat work, too.
Turn research into new possibilities
Harvesting, fighting, and selling support different paths of progression. Research plants, buildings, and firearms, discover new materials and equipment, and decide which production line to develop next. Sell your products for coins to buy seeds, tools, and equipment, then expand again.
A promise, a deadline, and a settlement to protect
A visitor claiming to come from another world offers to take your entire settlement away—for an enormous fee. You have fifteen in-game years to prepare.
Farming, building, and saving now have a new purpose. Listen to your companions as the story unfolds, and find your own answers through conflict and choice. The story has multiple endings, with choices that also shape the experience of continuing to run your settlement afterward.
Build alone or work together
Plan every part of your farm on your own, or share a world with friends and divide the farming, building, and fighting between you. Co-op uses a direct connection to the host and requires a reachable host address and port.
Development Note
Wheatstead is owned by my father. I am 14 years old and have taken a leave of absence from school for mental health reasons. During this time, I have been helping develop the game. My role is limited to development.
