Luck doesn't win here. The best liar does.
Five dice under your cup, five under theirs. Call how many dice of one face are on the whole table, raise your rival's call… or shout
LIAR! and lift the cups. Whoever got it wrong loses a die. Run out of dice and you lose the duel.
It's the liar's dice of every tavern you've ever heard of, turned into a roguelite where every reveal you win
pays out.
Every reveal is a payday
Win the challenge and the table counts: die by die, amulet by amulet,
Chips × Mult. Clear the Threshold and the
ROYAL STRIKE! lands, costing your rival one more die. Keep climbing and you'll hit
LEGENDARY!: the number that no longer fits on the plate.
Bluffs written in chalk
Every lie your rival gets past you is chalked up on
the Slate. Catch them with two bluffs on the board and the payout doubles:
TWO LIES! Lying is expensive. Lying twice is ruinous.
Eight kingdoms, eight cheating kings
A road of eight castles. In each one, two courtiers with tricks of their own and, on the throne, a king who
cheats in plain sight: a Decree that rules the whole castle, a Power with charges and a warning, and a Wrath that erupts when he's down to his last dice.
- King Blaze rerolls your dice in the middle of the duel.
- King Orio buys his innocence with gold when you catch him.
- King Tide swaps one of the dice with the turning of the tide.
- …and five more kings you'll have to find out about yourself.
Build your table
- 150+ amulets that bend the rules and combo: some add Chips, some multiply, some count dice that shouldn't count, and some only pay out once you break their chains.
- Special dice with faces and effects of their own: crystal, ruby, crowned, twinned…
- Cups with a trick each, forged in silver and gold.
- Ten characters, each with a signature die and a way of lying, plus Luggage to pack before you set out.
- A Roadside Market between duels: buy, sell, reroll and pick your tricks.
One more run
- Hour-long runs, two-minute duels. Every run, won or lost, unlocks something new.
- Eight Dooms per character to turn the difficulty up.
