The world ends in 12 days. Your stamp decides who leaves it.
November 2041. The meteorite Wormwood will hit Earth in 12 days, and the last evacuation ships are boarding. You are the clerk at Boarding Window 7. Check every ticket, ID, medical certificate and work record, then stamp
BOARD or
DENIED.
Seats are limited, the rules change every day, and the people in line will beg, bribe and threaten to get past you.
Compare the papers on your desk and ask questions. A wrong ship, a face that does not match, a date that does not add up. The Geiger counter, thermometer, blood-test syringe and scanner show what the paperwork hides.
Every day a different ship leaves with its own destination, size and rules: a farming colony on Mars, a science vault, a cult ship, a corporate luxury liner, a hospital ship, a lottery ship, an ark of children bound for Titan, and "La Última". The rulebook grows each day and so does the line.
People plead with you, slide money through the slot and make threats. Blackmail and corruption leak out of Window 6. Who do you believe, and what will you accept? Arrest someone and the guard comes to your window.
Each night you pay for food, medicine and heating for your family, or save up to buy them a seat. Correct calls earn money. Mistakes cost fines.
Stories that cross
A doctor who sells forged certificates, a journalist hunting the lists, twin brothers with a secret. Recurring characters come back, and what you did to them decides how. Several endings depend on who you let board and what happened to your family.
Rust and bone
Dirty, detailed apocalyptic pixel art, characters with something unsettling about them, ash falling in the final days, menus made of forms and stamps, and an original synthesized soundtrack.
- Single-player
- 12 days, 12 ships, several endings
- 20 languages: interface and text
Tense, moral and darkly funny: bureaucracy at the end of the world.
Who gets a seat, and who stays behind to watch the sky?
