The mountain is eleven levels deep. The Tyrant is at the bottom.
Cinderdelve is a pixel-art digging game about a crew of dwarves that grows from a handful of miners into a few hundred, each one breaking rock in its own way. Hire dwarves, buy upgrades with the gold every block gives, and watch the mountain come apart.
Nine classes, nine ways to break rock
Every dwarf has a class, and every class digs differently. Magmaforged melt forward and down in drips of lava. Stormcallers fork lightning through the stone. Frostwrights chill the rock face, and the next hit shatters every chilled block in a chain. Powderbeards blast, Ironhands crater, Stonecallers grow crushing roots through the rock, Runesmiths carve runes that speed up everyone standing on them, Voidcutters slash thin crescents and Hollowsingers ring the mountain like a bell. Every class has six talents and an Ascension, and the crew's mix is up to you.
Upgrades that never end
Mining Speed, Mining Power, Mining Area, Ability Power, Ability Area, Crit Chance, Gold Yield and more. Every rank is a percentage, every track goes on forever, and there is no crew limit: hire for as long as the gold lasts.
Eleven levels, each one deeper
Every level is a fixed 1400 x 1400 block mountain of its own rock, harder the deeper you go, with a goal structure buried at the bottom inside a giant cave mural. Take what waits there, dig out 85% of the level, then go down.
Levels 1 to 9 each hide a class's lost artifact. Taking it starts every later level with an Ascended dwarf of that class.
Level 10 holds the God Altar, where one dwarf becomes the Mountain God and carries every Ascension the crew has earned.
Level 11 is the Cinder Throne. The Tyrant is waiting on his gold.
Every level starts fresh, and stronger
Each level starts with a new crew and nothing bought, but the Renown of the Deep, the artifacts and the God come with you, so each start is a little faster than the last.
Then keep digging
Kill the Tyrant and the Endless Deep opens: depth after depth, each 25% tougher than the one above, with your full crew of Ascended dwarves and the Mountain God.
