Records of the Three Kingdoms: Rewriting the Romance is a text-based TRPG where you live through the Three Kingdoms era alongside an AI game master. Rather than picking from a pre-written branching tree, you either choose from options the game master generates on the spot, or type your own words and actions — and the AI responds by building the story from there. Start the same scenario twice, and the tale will never unfold the same way.
The Weight of the Original, the Path of Your Own
From the Yellow Turban Rebellion to the unification of the land, the game follows the events of Romance of the Three Kingdoms as its foundation. Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Quan and the rest stand before you as the original text portrays them — but which road they walk depends on how you intervene. You may follow the current of history, or turn it back entirely.

Freedom to act, not just choose — Beyond selecting options, you can write your own dialogue and describe your actions to shape the situation directly.
Ability-based resolution — Attributes such as Might, Intellect, and Command determine whether your attempts succeed or fail, and the outcome carries forward into the story.
Shifting factions and relationships — Who you ally with and who you turn against moves the balance between factions, and the consequences echo through the rest of the tale.
Multiple endings — The choices you accumulate lead each playthrough to a different conclusion.
Moments preserved in illustration — Key scenes unlock illustrations, leaving a record of the Romance you wrote.
Korean and Japanese support — The narrative is generated in each language, with names and places following that region's conventions.
