Nothing to hide. Everything to shred.
The owner says his business is completely legitimate. His archive is a mountain of shredded paper. You are an agent of the FCBI—the Federal Cat Bureau of Investigation—and somewhere in this mess is the evidence you need.
On Paper is a cute, satirical, single-player collecting and puzzle adventure. Dig through piles of tiny paper strips, bring your finds to your moustached assistant Fedo Chan, and piece the truth together at your investigation table.
Dig through the mess
Search an anime-inspired, cel-shaded storage room packed with shelves, boxes, and suspiciously enthusiastic document disposal. Start with a manageable pile and unlock larger mountains as your investigation advances. Colour-coded margins and visual clues help you spot strips that belong together.
Let Fedo handle the filing
Visit Fedo to hand over your discoveries. He sorts the pieces into their original documents and tells you when a page is ready to assemble. Browse your growing collection, choose a document, and carry on puzzling at the table.
Put it together
Arrange, turn, and snap strips into complete pages. Rebuild dubious paperwork, incriminating pictures, and envelopes with surprises inside. Of course, most of the archive is perfectly innocent: silly memes, children's drawings, and the sort of paperwork nobody expected a detective to read.
Upgrade your investigation
Turn completed evidence into upgrade points. Unlock tools that highlight matching pieces, vacuum up related scraps, and make precise assembly easier. Follow one continuous story as a very confident businessman becomes a very nervous cat.
