Did you ever wonder what would happen if you mix chess, a boardgame and a TCG?
"Echoes of Calir" is a turn-based 1v1 tactics game played on an 8×8 board. Choose five Units and five Terrains out of over 80 pieces, then place your Base, your Terrains and your Units before the first move. There are no random card draws and no Mana curve during a match. Your deck becomes the battlefield.
BASIC CHESS RULES BUT WITH A FANTASY TWIST
Every Unit has its own movement pattern and abilities. Move onto an enemy to capture it (chess like), or use an action to change the position. There are no hit chances, damage rolls or health bars: apiece can be captured in a single move., just like in the eternal game: Chess.
Win by eliminating all of the opponents pieces or taking their Base.
THE GROUND IS YOURS TO SHAPE
Terrain is part of your strategy, not just the scenery. Water can turn a Tidewalker into a threat. Mines give Baskan Dwarfs control over dangerous squares. Forests, mountains and spreading fungal growth create routes, obstacles and opportunities that differ with every formation. You choose which pieces of Calirs history to bring - and where they begin.
FIND YOUR WAY TO WIN
Build around elusive Fairies, aggressive Shadowhunters, disciplined Humans, terrain-minded Dwarfs, growing Mycelian swarms or creatures of the deep. Mix cards across these groups to find interactions your opponent has to solve on the board.
Challenge another Binder in online PvP, practice against a challenging AI, or learn the rules through a five-part interactive tutorial. Earn Shards through play to expand your collection with cards from out first expansion, Hours of Calamity or buy nice accessories. There are no real money purchases in the game.
A WORLD REMEMBERED IN PIECES
Calir is gone, fractured during the Calamity. Its people, creatures and places survive only as Echoes: fragments of a world that refuses to disappear completely. As a Binder, you call those fragments back. Warriors and creatures, fairies and giants separated by centuries stand side by side. Lost landscapes rise beneath their feet.
Every match is a battle over what remains.
