Ancient Greece: Early stages of democratic civilization, more aspects of politics, fighting to keep favour of the government and keep your rule intact.
Feudal Japan: Dynasties, hierarchies and socialism; brutal and hard to navigate but easier to keep your government in order since you have an effective iron grip on your officials.
The Roman Empire: Full dictatorship, brutus and ceasar theme, wars are more common and rebellion is a constant threat.
