Five in the evening, October. Someone is walking down the street toward you. Slowly, at exactly your pace. It never runs, it never stops, and if it reaches you, it's over.
Still Walking is a first-person co-op horror game for 1–3 players. Only the one it's after can see it. To your friends there is nobody there — only a shadow on the pavement that shouldn't be there, and a door that opens by itself.
Anyone could be it
It changes who it is whenever you look away: a neighbour, a child, a stranger who only wants the time. The town is full of people who walk up to you and ask you things. Most of them are just people. You never know which one will turn out to be it.
Pass it on
Touch a friend and it goes after them instead. Now they see it — and you watch their back. If it reaches someone, it comes back down the chain.
Get out before dawn
- Search open houses, shops and sheds for keys, fuel, tickets and parts — the town is different every night.
- Blind it with a camera flash, bolt the doors, find your way through dark rooms by torchlight.
- Escape by the last bus, the freight train, a tow truck — or a car that might not start.
- Four nights: a small town, a motel on the highway, a school on the hill, a house by the lake.
- A town at dusk painted like an Edward Hopper evening, and people cut out of paper.
Or end it
On the last night you don't have to run. It's made of paper. It can't swim. And a photograph shows what it really is. Find a way — and watch it go.
