Aftermyth is a turn-based world-conquest strategy game set on a ruined Earth. One day the world went dark, and when the sun came back the cities were rubble and machines no longer worked. Then the honored dead began to answer: spirits of history and myth now sponsor the warlords who still revere them. Choose a small faction in any of thirteen regions throughout the world, unify your homeland, and then take the world from the rivals who unified theirs.
253 heroes, each leading their own unit. Every hero is sponsored by a legend, from King Arthur to Hannibal to Odin, and grows along two paths. Fight in their patron's style to earn Devotion and unlock that patron's skill tree. Then grow the hero's own Star Track, a personal story that ends in a signature ability. Switch a hero to a new patron and the build changes with them.
Eleven unit types fill the 3×3 formation, and each one plays a different role. Shieldwalls block hits aimed at their row, spears punish cavalry, and reavers break braced lines. Archers mark targets and hexers lay lasting curses. Menders patch up troops, and wardbreakers silence enemy magic. Every faction also fields its own special troops, the legend-touched elite of its court.
Win their favour, capture your enemies and persuade them to change banners. Then field them in battles where troops burn and heroes endure. Every turn has only a few moves and every choice hurts. Patrons have tastes, demands and grudges.
