The light must burn
You are the keeper of a lighthouse on a small island in a frozen bay. The radio is your only line to the mainland. The weather turns before your eyes, from sun to storm. The storm blows the lamp out, and climbing the gallery to light it again means walking into the dark.
Warmth means coal
The stove burns coal, and without it the house goes cold. Fuel the old SUV, drive to the abandoned mine, dig coal with a pickaxe and haul it home before the fire dies.
Something walks the island at night
It is a wendigo. It comes with the storm, and it listens to the radio. Keep the flare gun and road flares close, and don't stray far from the light.
Features
Living weather — fog gives way to storms that bring dusk and snow.
A lighthouse that goes dark in bad weather and has to be lit again.
A wendigo that comes with the storm.
Cold survival — the stove, coal and hot tea.
The car and the mine — a road across the island, a pickaxe, dynamite.
One goal — call the ship and live until it arrives.
