STAROPHAGE is a single-player, turn-based tactical horror game aboard NEREID, a remote xenobiology and quarantine station built to study life that could help humanity survive beyond Earth.
Now its crew channels are silent, its internal telemetry is sealed, and a recovery beacon is transmitting without authorization. Your team is sent to find the crew, secure the research and discover what activated the signal.
Choose what hatches
Dormant alien Seeds can develop into different creatures. Use light, sound or a biological link to determine their form, then deal with the behavior you have brought into the room. Study the possible responses, weigh the risks and choose a threat your team can handle. Once a Seed hatches, the choice is irreversible.
Coordinate your specialists
Build your approach around your operatives' different strengths. Engineers control infrastructure, scientists reveal information, gunners reposition threats through force, and xenobiologists establish dangerous connections with alien life. Combine their abilities, plan their positions and decide who acts first. Mounting stress and incomplete information make those decisions harder.
Use the station to survive
Lure a creature toward an airlock. Redirect a threat with sound. Control an alien long enough to open a biological passage. Doors, power and containment systems can create an escape route or turn a room into a trap. Read the environment and keep track of what your actions will expose the team to.
Follow the signal into NEREID
Search sealed sectors, recover research and investigate signs of the missing crew. Piece together what happened as the operation takes you deeper into the station. Each discovery gives the team another reason to continue—and another risk to weigh against getting everyone out.
