Empty Throne is a dark fantasy squad battle roguelite. Create your hero, gather a
warband of hardened companions and march across a ruined land where every battle can
be your last.
Lead a warband, not an army
Start alone. Recruit up to seven companions in taverns and on the road: knights,
archers, monks, mercenaries and worse. Position them before each fight, then watch
your warband clash with the enemy in real-time 3D battles where every blow lands with
weight.
Play your cards as the battle unfolds
Your squad fights on its own, but you are never just watching. Build elixir and play
cards from your hand: healing potions, fireballs, summons and battlefield-shaping
spells. The right card at the right moment turns a massacre into a victory.
Your hero is everything
Your hero carries the run. Companions can fall and be replaced, but if your hero dies,
the run ends. Gear them up, level them up, and choose your battles carefully.
A kingdom in ruins
Travel a map of provinces, forests, swamps, deserts and mountains. Rest in the city:
drink in the tavern, forge weapons at the blacksmith, pray at the church, brew potions
in the laboratory and study new cards in the scriptorium.
Monsters worthy of the dark
Goblins, orcs, skeletons and minotaurs stand in your way, and four bosses wait at the
end of the road.
