Because you're an alien too. Copy the appearance of Earthlings to blend right in, slip past surveillance and traps, rescue your comrades, and escape together.
Copy an Earthling's appearance.
Walking around in your true alien form isn't a smart move. Copy the appearance of a nearby Earthling, disguise yourself as one of them, and stroll through the crowd like nothing's going on. But a disguise doesn't last forever. It drains over time, and the more eyes that land on you, the faster it goes. Run into the original owner of the appearance you copied, and it drains faster still.
Avoid surveillance and traps.
Even an ordinary-looking place isn't safe. In the mall, security guards are watching; inside B.A.R.D. facilities, it's the agents who track any suspicious movement. Slip past CCTV and lasers, cameras that seal off doors, electric floor panels that shock you, energy walls that strip away your disguise, and more. One slip-up can turn a quiet infiltration into chaos in an instant.
Get out before you're caught.
Linger in someone's line of sight with your cover blown and the detection gauge fills up — until a report goes through. Break line of sight before you're fully exposed. A step too slow, and capture agents are dispatched; once you're caught, you may be stuck inside a capsule, waiting for a teammate to come rescue you.
Get everyone out.
The moment you rescue the captured target alien, things get far more dangerous. Alarms blare, the agents tighten their guard, and now there's only one goal: everyone out. If a teammate's been caught, free them again — and make it out together, down to the last one.

Rescue captured teammates: Even a captured ally can be brought back.
A variety of infiltration tools: Use sleep bombs, smoke bombs, disguise extenders, self-escape devices, and more to draw attention away — though your allies might get caught in the blast too.
