BRASS: Hard Contact is a grounded 2D side-view shooter about real soldiering: cover, fire and movement, and every round you put downrange. Wounds stay until they are dressed, and the soldier who uses the ground wins.
Ballistics that behave. Rounds drop with range, so dial the zero on your scope. They punch through boards, glance off steel and crack past heads to pin men down. Tracers show where your rounds go, and show the enemy where you are.
Fight like a soldier. Sprint, slide, crawl, lean and vault. Fill sandbags and dig in, rest your rifle on cover, and drag a wounded friend to safety. Blasts crater the ground and leave it that way.
Kit for the job. You can unlock up to: Twelve weapons, fifteen attachments, and a tactical slot: smoke, flashbangs, claymores, trip flares, illumination flares, binoculars and sandbags. Fight at night under flares and weapon lights, in fog and in rain.
Bots that fight like soldiers. They suppress, bound from cover to cover, flank, cover your reload and dig in where you order them. Ping a spot and your squad moves.
Six modes, eight maps. Team Deathmatch, Free-for-all, Capture the Flag, Domination, Search and Destroy, and Co-op Holdout against ten waves. Up to eight soldiers a match, humans and bots, over Steam. Hardcore strips the HUD back to what a soldier would know.
No arcade. No killstreaks, no power-ups, no regenerating health. Twenty ranks unlock gear, never better stats.
