BUILD YOUR ARMY. CONTROL THE MAP.
Take what they build. Make it part of your own strategy.
Keepbreaker is a turn-based strategy game where your army, economy and technology all exist on the battlefield, and much of what gets built can change hands. Expand your economy, develop new troops and abilities, fight for valuable territory, and capture enemy-built structures to strengthen your own position.
A Mine that funded your opponent can start funding you. A Barracks built to reinforce their front can become your production point instead. Every structure creates something worth defending, attacking or stealing, and every expansion gives your opponent another way to hurt you.
Invest too heavily in the future and the enemy may strike before it pays off. Commit everything to pressure and you may find yourself falling behind elsewhere. Your goal is simple: break the enemy Keep before they break yours.
Mines, Barracks, Outposts and other strategic structures pull both armies away from the safety of their Keeps. Controlling them can expand your economy, reinforce your army and open new opportunities across the map, but control is never permanent.
Enemy-built infrastructure can be captured and used as your own. Push into the right position and you can take the structures supporting your opponent’s army, forcing them to defend what they built or risk watching it become part of your strategy instead.
Technology structures work differently. They unlock new units, abilities and upgrades for your faction, but physically exist on the battlefield and can be attacked. Building them safely protects your development but keeps reinforcements farther from the front, while building forward makes your strategy faster and far more vulnerable.
You may enter a match with a plan, but your opponent has one too. Scout through the fog of war, discover what they are developing, and decide whether to counter it directly, pressure the structures enabling it, capture something they have left exposed or develop in another direction entirely.
Different technology branches unlock new units, abilities and upgrades as the battle evolves. There is no single army you should build every match, because what you need depends on the faction across from you, the territory each side controls and the choices both players have already made.
Read the match and build the army it demands.
Movement, vision and positioning shape battles before Combat begins. Threaten something valuable to force a response, split an army between competing objectives, give up one position to attack another or create the engagement you actually want.
When armies clash, combat is deterministic. Units act according to Initiative, with equally fast attacks resolving together, so there are no random attack rolls turning a carefully prepared move into a miss. The important decisions happen before the attack lands: where you moved, what you threatened, what you built and what you forced your opponent to defend.
Create the advantage first. Then use it.
ONE BATTLEFIELD. DIFFERENT WAYS TO MASTER IT.
Keepbreaker is built around one strategic ruleset, but each mode asks you to approach it differently. Competitive matches test how well you can adapt against another player, Challenges throw you into deliberately difficult situations, Roguelike runs reshape what armies can become, and custom content lets players create entirely new battles.
In Ranked PvP, take balanced factions into competitive 1v1 matches where both players begin under the same rules. Climb the ranks by reading your opponent, adapting your strategy and making better use of every structure and position on the battlefield.
In Challenges, start from battles that are already going wrong. Fight your way out of surrounded strongholds, recover from lost territory, survive overwhelming pressure and overcome handcrafted or community-created scenarios designed to put your decision-making under stress.
In Roguelike, choose a faction and take it through a run where the armies and opportunities you find can become far more extreme than anything designed for competitive balance. Build unusual combinations, adapt to what each battle gives you and see how far you can take the army you create before the run ends.
With custom maps and challenges, create battlefields of your own, choose the factions and starting situation, place armies and structures, and design scenarios for other players to overcome and share.
Compete against other players. Overcome impossible situations. Build armies that could never belong in Ranked.
Each faction approaches the battlefield differently, changing not only which units you command but how you want to control the map. The Dwarves build durable formations and strengthen important positions, while the Orcs use mobility and pressure to exploit exposed territory and force opponents into difficult decisions.
The Elves use range, vision and precision to control engagements before enemies can close in. These faction strengths are only the starting point, because the army you actually field depends on the technologies you develop, the structures you capture and what the battle demands from you.
Winning does not mean chasing down every enemy unit. Capture the Mine funding their army, take the Barracks reinforcing their front, cut into the territory they rely on and threaten the technology behind their strongest units.
Every attack can force your opponent to decide what they can afford to save and what they are willing to lose. Take useful structures for yourself, destroy what you cannot hold, and keep pushing until their position can no longer support the army they built.
Take what you can use. Destroy what you can’t.
Then finish what the entire battle has been building toward.
BREAK THEIR KEEP.
