Your mission is simple: contain the kaiju while destroying as little of the city as possible.
Special Disaster Response Agency: Kaiju Countermeasures Bureau is a 3D action game where you remotely operate a giant humanoid disaster-response machine to limit the destruction caused by kaiju attacks.
Stop them in their tracks. Punch them. Guard against their attacks. Throw whatever you can get your hands on. Do whatever it takes to keep the damage from spreading through the city.
The suits upstairs don't know a damn thing about what happens in the field, do they?
Live Out That Childhood Dream
You dreamed about it as a kid, didn't you?
Controlling a giant robot like an enormous RC machine.
Well, that's exactly what this is.
As mysterious fog carries kaiju in from who-knows-where, you take to the field as an operator and send your giant machine straight into their path.
Pick up a nearby building and throw it at them (weren't we supposed to be protecting those?), launch a kaiju into the air with an uppercut, then grab the stunned beast and swing it around.
Well... there goes the neighborhood.
Every bit of damage is recorded. Completing the mission isn't just about defeating the kaiju — your performance also depends on how much of the city is still standing afterward.
But hey, it's the insurance companies that'll be crying, right?
Switch Between Four Viewpoints
“So it's just controlling a giant robot like an RC toy? Couldn't it use a little more punch?”
Fair point.
Since this is an indie game and we can pretty much do whatever we want, we added four different viewpoints that you can switch between during an operation.
OPERATOR CAM — Look up at the battle from the operator's position on the ground.
ROBO EYE — See the fight directly through the robot's own sensors.
DRONE CAM — Get a wider tactical view from a reconnaissance drone.
NEWS HELI — Watch the operation through the live feed of a news helicopter circling overhead.
Each viewpoint has situations where it works best. Switch between them as the battle changes and bring the kaiju under control.
Online co-op is also supported.
Divide up combat, reconnaissance, and urban-response duties as you work together to contain the kaiju disaster.
The field is always short-staffed anyway.
