JANE FRIDAY: AFTER HOURS
Episode I — The Last Watch
Port-City, 1997. The Brannigan Building is part diner, part arcade, part abandoned precinct annex. You are Riley Cross, and tonight is your first shift as its overnight security guard. Six hours until dawn. Six cameras to watch. One flashlight.
In a locked drawer on the second floor you find a cassette tape in an evidence sleeve, labeled in careful handwriting:
JF — CASE 7 — DO NOT FILE
Detective Jane Friday has been hunting Port-City's darkest secret since 1982. These are her tapes. She stopped recording them somewhere in this building.
THE NIGHT
Explore nine locations — diner, basement arcade, precinct annex, manager's office, fire stairwell, the sealed attic
Find all three of Jane Friday's hidden case tapes and hear what she found
Watch the darkness level climb from zero to five as the building turns against you
The lobby payphone rings at 3:17 AM. Jane's second tape tells you not to answer it. That's your call.
Manage your power — every room you enter, every camera you check, costs you
Five endings, from the quiet partial truth to the sealed attic and the thing management didn't want found
THE FEEL
A short horror story you read and listen to rather than fight. CRT scanlines, VHS tracking, an amber terminal glow, and a Dark Fox Films title card. One playthrough runs 15 to 30 minutes. The full truth takes a few.
THE SERIES
Jane Friday: After Hours is the first chapter in a six-part story about the origin of Port-City's darkest secret — and the shape at the center of it. It connects, quietly, to a much larger world.
CAT & FOX STUDIOS / DARK FOX FILMS
Dark Fox Films is the horror arm of Cat & Fox Studios, a tiny independent studio building original characters and the worlds they live in. Jane Friday is our first step into the dark.
Leave the lights on. Or don't.
