This is a game where how you farm matters.
By finding ways to improve your farming efficiency, the amount of materials you can collect can increase by tens of thousands of times. The required material amounts are balanced around the assumption that you will optimize your farming methods, so simply repeating stages without doing so may make progression feel almost endless.
In the endgame, you may also need to build automated collection systems and let the game run unattended for periods of time.
You will not be able to progress simply by repeatedly farming for higher-rarity drops.
