CROSSVEIL is a card battler across four painted worlds, held together by the Exchange: a hall where guardians from every world gather and wait to be hired.
Something is reaching into the four worlds
A master in the Underworld is spreading his rule. His servants don't arrive as an army. They take what people depend on, one piece at a time, until each world starts to bend.
Hearthwild: Crocs and minotaurs push out of their homes and take the swamp's waterways. Someone is choosing which homes flood.
Infinite Arcade: A red panda gang and the company Ascend Dynamics turn out to be the same takeover, spreading through the neon city district by district.
Crooked Wonder: The carnival's crooked air is being bottled, made stronger and smuggled out, and the trail leads down beneath the fair.
Tempest Reach: False storm warnings strand the sky islands, and the orders come from the king's own castle.
Listen to the Exchange
Between battles you return to the Exchange, where Vera keeps the hall safe. The guardians talk among themselves as they pass through. Every chapter you finish adds new conversations, and piece by piece they reveal the bigger picture.
Four worlds, each with its own deck
Hearthwild's lantern-lit swamps, the Infinite Arcade's neon city, Crooked Wonder's carnival of crooked air and Tempest Reach's storm-torn sky islands. Every world has its own cards, enemies and guardians. Each world is three maps long, and every map ends in a boss.
Many guardians to play as
You start with one guardian in each world and hire the rest in the Exchange with the gold you win. Others join you as you push deeper into each world. Every guardian brings an ability you trigger in battle, and grows stronger as you earn stars with them.
Win cards, level them up
Every battle can win you new cards. Combine copies to level them up, and build the deck that suits your guardian.
Play your way

A passion project
CrossVeil began as a father's passion project: a game made for his kids. It grew into the full game you see here, designed and built by one person.
