You're 8 years old, you've got a ball and a dusty pitch in the favela (or the potrero, the cage, the parish yard…). Futbolero is a fast, funny and slightly unhinged football career simulator (yes, soccer too): every choice rewrites your story, every season is one screen, and no two careers are ever the same.
Do you sign for the giants or become a legend where they love you? Bite back at the journalist or bite your tongue? Go on the cover of the world's biggest football game, even though everyone says it's cursed? You decide, with the odds right there on screen. Then you live with it… sometimes years later.
Penalties, free kicks, dribbles, bicycle kicks, diving saves… 12 quick minigames in packed stadiums — or on the dirt pitch where it all started. Rather not? They're simulated from your stats.
Retire and carry on as your son or daughter. They inherit your genes, your surname, your vices and your glory — and the reasons are on screen. Your dad can be your personal coach, your grandparents grow old, and the family tree keeps growing. Wear your father's number, find his photo in the hall of fame… or get a statue of your own.
Play the same career at the same time, in a shared world: same leagues, same finals, the same transfer market. Team up (and get graded as a group) or go VS with dilemmas: play clean or betray? Lobby with code and Steam invites, bots to fill the seats, an endless mode where your kids take over… and head-to-head penalty shootouts against your mates.
The rival club has bribed one of the players. Up to 6 players online (bots fill empty slots) at the club's training ground: locker room, gym, video room, medical room, the pitch… The footballers get their tasks done, and each one is a minigame; the impostor injures anyone caught alone, cuts the lights and jams the doors. Found an injured teammate, or someone blew the coach's whistle? Emergency meeting in the locker room, debate and vote.
A 3D board game for 4 footballers, 1 to 4 people on the same PC or online with friends. Roll the dice, win and lose coins, life happens, buy items in the shop to mess with your friends, and every round ends with a minigame. It's a career too: everyone starts in the fourth division and the scout can take you all the way to the top flight.
Dressing room, manager, board, fans, transfers, international duty, press, sponsors, partners, kids, nights out, superstitions — and a nemesis who haunts you for your whole career. Choices come back seasons later, and your keeper's life is nothing like your striker's.
