RoomFolk is a 3D home-building sandbox with a miniature aesthetic, featuring house construction, interior decoration and garden design. There are no budget or mission restrictions. A vast selection of furniture and decorations can be freely mixed and matched, and the creative process can be exported as a video with one click.
Construction and Renovation
Homes can be built on an empty plot or remodelled from an existing floor plan. Building components can be freely combined to create multi-storey homes. Walls, floors and ceilings can be decorated separately, and layouts and furnishings can be changed at any time.
Furniture and Gardens
Furniture, decorations and everyday objects come in a variety of styles, with size and colour options for furniture. Small objects can be placed individually, and outdoor furniture and decorations are available for garden layouts.
Exploration and Interaction
The overhead view shows the overall layout, while the first-person view allows free movement indoors and outdoors. Doors, windows and some furniture can be opened and closed; lights and appliances can be switched on and off. Pets roam and rest around the home, with pet accessories also available.
Environment and Lighting
A choice of environments and solid-colour backdrops is available when starting a new home. The time of day can be set freely or follow a day/night cycle, and the weather can also be adjusted. Music, ambient sounds and weather sounds can be adjusted separately.
Photos and Building Videos
Photo mode offers aspect ratio, exposure and depth-of-field settings for high-resolution photo exports. Building videos can replay the actual construction and editing process or generate a building animation using a smart build sequence. They can also use custom-recorded camera paths. Video export supports 4K, 60 fps and HDR.
