AXIS is a 3D spatial puzzle where the path you choose becomes music. Move along the X/Y/Z axes of a cube, collect stars and rings, and find a route to the gate. The music changes with every move.
Find a Path Through the Cube
Move between nodes along the X/Y/Z axes and plan a route through three-dimensional space. To collect stars and rings, avoid obstacles, and reach the gate, you will need to consider the front, back, top, and bottom of the cube.
Early puzzles display guide lines to help you read the route. As the difficulty increases, the guidance disappears, leaving you to determine each move and plan your own way through the collectibles and obstacles to the gate.
Three Axes Change Different Parts of the Music
Movement along X shapes rhythm. Y changes pitch. Z changes how the sound fills the space and reverberates.
Every move changes the sound immediately, while the directions and order you choose shape the music of each stage. AXIS is not about making music first and solving a puzzle afterward. The path you choose to solve the puzzle becomes the music.
Six Halls, 150 Stages
Explore six Halls, each containing 25 stages. Progress through Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties as you encounter different spaces, sounds, instrument timbres, and musical variations.
Completing a Hall unlocks a Melody Map, where you can trace a route to play a short passage from familiar pieces such as “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and “Moonlight Sonata.”
A New High-Difficulty Puzzle Every Day
Daily Mission offers a randomly selected high-difficulty map each day. Read a new space without guide lines and put the route-planning skills you developed across the six Halls to the test.
Turn a Melody into a Spatial Puzzle
Map Editor lets you create your own puzzle map around a melody. Go beyond solving the routes provided by the game and design how a melody takes shape as a path through X/Y/Z space.
Your Journey Remains in Sound and Form
The routes and musical choices you make accumulate as you progress through each Hall, expressed through different instrument types and an evolving landscape.
When you complete a Hall, the route-finding strategy that stood out in your play is distilled into an instrument type and timbre. These accumulated traces remain as constellation forms across the Hall’s landscape, creating an audiovisual record of your journey that you can see and hear.
The result in AXIS is not a score that evaluates or diagnoses the player. It is a record of the paths and methods you chose while making your way through the cube, preserved in music and form.
