Kyūten is a solo tactical card game that combines deckbuilding, board-based captures, and roguelite progression. Challenge the guardians of the Nine Heavens, borrow their powers, and build a collection that stays with you from one ascent to the next.
Every side counts
Each card has four values, one on each side. Place it next to an enemy card: if your value beats the opposing side, you capture it.
But a captured card can change sides again. Choose your positions, protect your weak sides, and combine card effects to trigger chain captures. Your goal: control more cards than your opponent at the end of the battle.
A board that grows with your ambitions
Start on a 3 × 3 grid, then progress to 4 × 4 and 5 × 5 as you ascend. New positions open up, interactions multiply, and your deck must evolve.
Between battles, work new cards into your strategy. Will you strengthen your existing synergies or change your approach for the challenges ahead?
Borrow the power of the gods
Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Susanoo… Nine guardians inspired by Japanese mythology await, each with their own identity and power.
Defeating a guardian grants access to their power. Only one guardian power can be active at a time: keep the one that suits your deck or adopt the defeated guardian’s power. Your last active power carries over into your next attempt.

The Nine Heavens unfold across a mandala whose order changes with each attempt, leading to the final trial against Izanagi.
Defeat ends your ascent, but it never takes away the cards you have earned. Find them in your collection and prepare for your next attempt with new possibilities.
