The future was supposed to be perfect. It decided you weren't.
In the year 2847, usefulness is the only currency, and Dr. Solis Renforge, the engineer whose own creation made him obsolete, is scheduled for "retirement." His escape hurls him 65 million years into the past, into a Cretaceous world of primeval forests, dinosaurs, impossible creatures, and a small tribe that takes in a stranger who fell out of the sky.
But survival is the easy part. Every gift Solis gives the tribe, every fire pit and healed wound, plants a question he has spent his whole life running from: what happens to people when they are no longer needed? Deep in the eastern woods the land itself has begun to sicken, twisted by something that arrived the same day he did. And the power it takes to stop it may cost him the only people who ever took him in.
Features
- A complete first book, free. About two hours of story across five chapters: the escape from 2847, first contact with the River Valley tribe, the corruption spreading from the warp site, and the rebellion that follows when the tribe begins to fear what Solis's power is making of them.
- Choices that persist. How you introduce yourself, how much of your technology you reveal, and whether you confess what your arrival has cost all carry forward to the end of Book One.
- Two very different women at the heart of the story. Mai-yu, the healer who needs to be needed, and Thena, the hunter who swore never to need anyone.
- An AI companion, NEXUS, whose bedside manner is a work in progress.
- Fully animated. Every scene moves: all 51 event illustrations and every painted background are living loops, where fires flicker, forests breathe, and the containment ring pulses. Plus an animated title screen and cinematic video sequences across two eras.
- A cinematic prologue that plays itself. Sit back for Chapter 0, or skip straight to the main story.
How your story continues
Book One closes on a question the tribe cannot answer yet. The story continues in Chapter 5, coming later as paid episodes. The base game is, and stays, free.
