Here walked Nestor, a Prince in Disguise,
who looked Marit in the eye and lied,
who carried Ivo out of the dark,
and claimed the Ivory Blade of the Hermit of Kell, and walked home.

In The Road Remembers, you play as a ◆◆◆◆ in search of the ◆◆◆◆, and may die trying to find it.
Then as ◆◆◆◆, in search of the same, and may succeed.
Then as ◆◆◆◆, in search of the same, to find it was already taken.
The road and its people remember every one.
There is a verse about the ◆◆◆◆.
There is a verse about ◆◆◆◆ the ferryman, and it is not the version ◆◆◆◆ tells.
There is a new verse, kinder than what happened, with your name in it, nearly right.
There are no pictures, except those you make yourself. (This is a text-only game.)
There is no time pressure, though your actions shape the future. (This game is turn-based, and "choices matter".)
Victory may be found through blood, kindness, wit, or coin. (This is a role-playing game with many skills and ways to win.)
If you cannot see the words, they may be read to you. (This game was built with screen-readers in mind.)
