KAEBONKAEBON

Some people prayed for a loved one to recover. Some promised they would return. Others would rather forget what they said.

You’re the person they hire to make things right.

KAEBON is a first-person horror game rooted in Thai beliefs and traditions. Across 13 nights, you’ll take on jobs from people with unfinished promises. Read their letters, prepare offerings, and visit the places they’re too afraid to return to themselves.

But what a client asks you to bring may not be what the person waiting wants. Look around, read what’s been left behind, and pay attention to what’s missing from the story.

When you fall asleep, dreams reveal moments from the lives of those who once lived there: their love, their fears, and the ordinary words someone never forgot.

• Explore unsettling nighttime locations inspired by Thai life and beliefs

• Read letters and uncover clues to choose the right offerings for each ritual

• Experience dream sequences that reveal what your clients left unsaid

• Discover another side of the story on a second playthrough

Taking jobs and performing rituals

Each night, you read the job instructions, explore the location, and prepare a ritual before dawn. You need to choose the offerings, arrange them, and decide how many incense sticks to light. Once the work is done, you send the broker a photograph to collect your pay.

Buying supplies and managing your time

You buy offerings with the client's budget, choosing what you need and how much to spend. You can return to the shop if you brought the wrong supplies, but the trip takes time. Time spent exploring or travelling also leaves you less time to finish the ritual.

There’s another delivery waiting for you tonight.

They said all you have to do is leave it there… and come back.
