POLITICAL CONFRONTATION AND RETALIATION
Every debate is a fight for support. Read the state, choose your argument, and strike before the 45-second clock reaches zero. Gain ground with your answer, then watch your opponent fire back and try to undo everything you just accomplished.
LEARN WHO YOU MUST WIN OVER
Every electorate has a dossier of pressure points.
Priorities it refuses to compromise.
Fears it wants pacified.
Learn them before you speak.
A careless answer pushes support away. A precise one pulls support in.
BECOME PRECISE
Anyone can answer a question.
The challenge is choosing the right answer for this state.
Consider their priorities, their fears, and how each answer tries to persuade them.
You have 45 seconds to choose. Use the time to prove your judgment.
Fail to choose, and the state treats your silence as a negative outcome.
READ THE SUBTLE SIGNALS
Early choices may be easy to distinguish.
Later ones aren't as forgiving.
Positive, neutral, and negative answers become increasingly ambiguous.
Debates demand sharper judgment with every round.
Make mistakes.
Remember them.
Don't make them twice.
PREPARE FOR THE ATTACK
Then your opponent gets their shot.
Every point you have gained is exposed.
They can hit back, recover support, or destroy their own position.
The debate doesn't end when you speak.
It ends when both sides have taken their shot.
WIN THEM OVER
Move from state to state and learn what different electorates respond to.
Persuade enough of them, build your support, and turn political attraction into political power.
