Astral 4XAstral 4X

ONE PLANET AS YOUR CRADLE. THE GALAXY AS YOUR AMBITION.

It all begins on your homeworld. In Astral 4X, take command of a civilization and lead it into a vast procedural universe. Explore star systems, discover new worlds, and establish the colonies that will drive your expansion.

Develop your cities, exploit resources, and organize industry and trade. Population, infrastructure, public services, ecological balance: every decision shapes the future of your worlds. From your first planet to the farthest reaches of the galaxy, build an empire capable of enduring through the centuries.

Explore a vast procedural universe where every planet is unique, with its own landscapes, atmosphere, resources, and challenges. Throughout your journey, discover:

• Galaxies, regions, and sectors to explore beyond your homeworld.

• Diverse star systems, containing one, two, three, or four stars.

• Remarkable celestial objects: dwarf stars, giants, supergiants, pulsars, and black holes.

• Unique planets: rocky worlds, super-Earths, and gas giants.

• Moons and dwarf planets, even in the most remote regions of star systems.

• Asteroids, comets, and debris belts, extending all the way to distant Oort clouds.

• Varied planetary environments, with their own biomes, climates, and habitability conditions.

• Natural resources and mineral deposits to support your expansion.

• Cosmic phenomena: nebulae, supernova remnants, ion storms, and stellar nurseries.

• Galactic curiosities: remnants of vanished civilizations, gravitational rifts, and crystalline clouds.

EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN. DISCOVER WHAT YOUR RIVALS HAVE YET TO FIND.

Beyond your homeworld, every star opens up new possibilities. In Astral 4X, travel through a vast procedural universe and discover star systems, planets, moons, and gas giants with a wide range of characteristics.

Study their environments, locate valuable resources, and assess their habitability to choose where to expand next. A hospitable world or a rich deposit of resources can shape the course of your entire expansion. Move seamlessly from the galactic map to detailed views of individual celestial bodies, and turn every discovery into an opportunity for your empire.

Every discovery can become the starting point of a new colony.

FROM YOUR HOMEWORLD TO THE FARTHEST REACHES OF THE STARS. BUILD YOUR EMPIRE.
From your homeworld, expand your civilization into new star systems and turn your discoveries into thriving colonies. Choose where to settle based on habitability, available resources, and the needs of your empire. Every world presents its own challenges, it is up to you to define its role in your expansion.

Organize your expeditions, guide the arrival of the first settlers, and develop your colonies across generations. Connect your worlds through transportation routes to move resources, welcome new populations, and support your most distant territories.

• Colonize new worlds: planets, moons, dwarf planets, and asteroids.

• Prepare your expeditions: mobilize colony ships, fuel, resources, and a population ready to embark.

• Choose where to settle based on environmental conditions, natural resources, and settlement potential.

• Develop your cities with housing, jobs, infrastructure, and public services.

• Specialize your colonies in agriculture, mining, industry, or other activities that support your empire.

• Manage population growth by organizing migration and expanding your capacity to accommodate new inhabitants.

• Connect your territories through passenger transport, cargo convoys, and intercolonial routes.

Adapt hostile environments with survival infrastructure and terraforming.
Automate part of your colonies’ development to manage an ever-expanding empire.

EVERY WORLD HAS ITS RICHES. EVERY CHOICE HAS ITS PRICE.

Turn the resources of your planets into economic power. Develop your colonies, organize resource extraction, and sustain your population through agriculture and infrastructure. Every world has its own reserves, biomes, and constraints: adapt how you exploit it to the needs of your empire. But growth comes at a cost. Deposits are depleted, pollution accumulates, and thriving ecosystems can become barren wastelands.

• Exploit a wide range of resources: metals, rare earth elements, nuclear fuels, gases, water, and raw materials.

• Develop your mining infrastructure, from small surface mines to vast imperial complexes.

• Set extraction priorities and intensity according to your needs and available reserves.

• Monitor your stockpiles, production, and consumption through dedicated management interfaces.

• Organize the supply of your colonies through markets, imports, and exports.

• Support local agriculture and manage a variety of food resources suited to your worlds.

• Define your resource policies: mining taxation, public or private control, and strategic reserves.

• Balance productivity with environmental protection, taking energy requirements and industrial risks into account.

Witness the consequences of your decisions, from degraded biomes and toxic swamps to the transformation of an entire planet into a polluted world.

FACE RIVAL EMPIRES. CONQUER WORLDS.

Your civilization is not alone in its ambition to dominate the galaxy. Face AI-controlled empires, contest their territories, and send your armies to war for resources, supremacy, or survival. Take the fight to enemy worlds and defend your own colonies against invasion.

On every planet, unique geography creates new battlefronts. From localized conflicts to wars fought across multiple worlds, mobilize your military power and decide how far your empire is willing to go.

• Fight AI-controlled empires to expand your dominion.

• Conquer enemy worlds and defend your colonies against hostile offensives.

• Fight multiple campaigns at once, with fronts spread across different planets.

• Build your armies: infantry, elite soldiers, cyborgs, armored vehicles, mechs, and artillery.

• Deploy air forces to support your ground troops.

• Build military bases, recruit reinforcements, and mobilize your reserves.

• Command your units across procedural terrain, with landscapes and geography unique to each world.

• Experience warfare at multiple scales, from the battlefield to the planetary map.

• Destroy enemy forces, even to the point of wiping out entire alien populations.

• Face the Vrille, destroy its swarms, and reclaim territories consumed by its biomass.

• Witness the consequences of your campaigns: military casualties, decimated populations, and destroyed cities.
