Your cards have shapes. Your power is on the board. Numeromantia is a turn-based deckbuilding roguelike where the numbers beneath a card fuel its effects. A strong hand is only the beginning: you must also leave yourself room to use it.
No mana. Every number counts.
Place a card over the number board to attack, gain Block or prepare a combination. Used numbers are consumed, reshaping the choices left to you. Fill an entire card's area to trigger its Resonance, then plan around regeneration, sleeping cells and the enemy's next action.
Build a deck. Change the battlefield.
Raise numbers, transform metals and charge cells with elements or your hero's marks. A tempting large shape may bring a powerful effect, but also spend the space your next card needs. Cards, artifacts and potions work together: find a plan that makes the whole table yours.
Follow a different discipline.
The Alchemist combines elements, metals, potion brewing and Rebirth. The Oathkeeper builds Resolve through exhausted cards, raises banners and turns defense into retaliation. The Weaver creates Stitches, lays Patterns and gains Tension by alternating card types. Mix their mechanics into your own builds.
Shape your route, face the consequences.
Lay tetrominoes on the act map and choose encounters beside your explored route. Weigh a dangerous fight against a shop, an uncertain event or a moment of rest. Bargains, challenges and rewards can change the direction of your deck. Enemy groups and bosses demand different answers.
Lose, learn, begin again.
Carry what you learn into a new route, unlock more cards and items through play, and take on rising Ascension difficulty. Study your run history, try another hero or follow a combination you overlooked. The next run starts with a new decision.
