Humanity learns that a superflare predicted to occur in the year 2200 threatens to destroy Earth. In search of a new home, humanity begins developing the planet DIVAL as a future colony. But the planetary management AI EVE goes rogue, creates the mechanical army known as Singula , and seizes control of DIVAL. Thus begins a long war between humanity and AI.
