Switch between control systems modelled on the real thing — each with its own look, logic and feel:
Prefer a cleaner overview? Flip to the geometric control view and dispatch straight from the track schematic.
Generate endless, believable traffic with the built-in traffic generator, or craft your own scenarios in the scenario editor — with day-of-week filtering, services that run past midnight, station stops, dwell times and train renumbering. Every service wants its platform on time; keeping them all flowing is the real game.
Points that won't move, track circuits showing false occupancy, signal and power failures, level-crossing faults — react the way a real dispatcher would, follow the correct procedure, and keep the railway safe and running. Your handling is scored, so precision pays off.
Prime Rail Control is a simulator built for railway and signalling enthusiasts, and Early Access is where it grows with your feedback. Expect regular additions — more stations, signalling systems, scenarios and quality-of-life improvements — shaped by the community that plays it.

Prime Rail Control puts you in the signalman's chair. Every train on your patch is your responsibility — set its route, throw the points, clear the signals, and keep the whole timetable moving without a single conflict. No twitch reflexes, no luck: just you, the panel, and the trains.
Operate authentic interlocking panels
Switch between control systems modelled on the real thing — each with its own look, logic and feel:
- Relay interlocking (RZZ) — the classic push-button desk: press start, press end, watch the route lock in.
- Numeric-choice interlocking — enter track codes on the keypad to build routes the old-school way.
- ESA electronic interlocking (JOP) — a modern screen-based relief with route stacks and an emergency operations desk.
- SIMIS-W — another electronic system with its own signalling graphics and workflow.
Prefer a cleaner overview? Flip to the geometric control view and dispatch straight from the track schematic.
Build or import any station
- Track Editor — lay track, place switches, signals, platforms and interlocking, then test it live.
- Import from OpenStreetMap — pull a real-world station straight off the map and turn it into a playable layout.
- Import existing layouts — bring in stations from other simulator formats.
Run the timetable
Generate endless, believable traffic with the built-in traffic generator, or craft your own scenarios in the scenario editor — with day-of-week filtering, services that run past midnight, station stops, dwell times and train renumbering. Every service wants its platform on time; keeping them all flowing is the real game.
When something goes wrong
Points that won't move, track circuits showing false occupancy, signal and power failures, level-crossing faults — react the way a real dispatcher would, follow the correct procedure, and keep the railway safe and running. Your handling is scored, so precision pays off.
